"I have always composed music ever since I can remember, on that  small Casio keyboard. Then, later writing, performing and producing  bands, I have also continuously had a solo project and been building certain things on my own. I have written, and performed many types of music including live fusion improvisation, and some of what I am excited to offer for clients is recording a live improvisation to certain scenes in their film.  According to the vision and desire of the filmmaker, portions of the sound track can be improvised live and/or  pre-written, melodies and compositions with guitar and /or any other instruments. Also using current industry digital tools for scene events, sound effect, moods, full scores, will be incorporated as well. The final result can be all of those aspects and instruments combined or, the entire soundtrack can be recorded with one electric guitar. Film score guitar takes me back to when I first started writing and playing around age 10, because those first pieces were long instrumentals based on images and scenes created in my mind inspired by my early love for movies."

Meet Justin Peloian, the experimental and versatile composer,  who has been captivating audiences with his music for over two decades. With passions for film, music, and guitar, Justin has made it his mission to create unforgettable themes and scores for movies that not only complement the visuals but also evoke powerful emotions and enhance the overall message of the film.
Born and raised in California, he was exposed to various forms of creative expression from a young age. He began playing the piano at age 7, and guitar at the age of 14 and quickly fell in love with composing and songwriting. Over the years, he honed his skills and expanded his musical repertoire by learning to play other instruments, including the synthesizer, samplers, bass, and drums. Justin pursued his interest in music further by studying at Walt Disney's California Institute of the Arts, where he earned the Masters of Fine Arts degree in studio art, and experimental music. During his time in college, he developed a unique approach to composing that blended traditional and non-traditional scoring notation systems with visually directed improvisation, both live and in the studio. This innovative technique allowed him to create complex, layered soundscapes that were as beautiful as they were haunting.
In addition to his work in film scoring, he has also produced, written, and performed a wide range of music, from electronic ambient tracks to orchestral pieces. He has worked alone, in duos, in power trios, in 4-piece progressive groups, and even with large ensembles. His ability to adapt to different styles and formats has made him a unique collaborator within the music industry.
Justin's dedication to his craft is evident in every project he takes on. He is known for his tireless work ethic, spending countless hours researching and experimenting to find the perfect sound for each musical recording. He believes that music plays a crucial role in shaping the narrative and emotional arc of a movie, and he approaches each project with a deep understanding of the storyteller's vision.
One of Justin's greatest strengths is his ability to create music that blends genres and resides within various categorization. By combining elements of jazz, classical, electronic, rock, pop music, and unknown catagories, he has developed a distinctive style that is both accessible and sophisticated. His scores are often described as cinematic, sweeping, and evocative, drawing listeners into a world of emotion and imagination.
He understands that film scoring is a collaborative process, and he values the input of directors, producers, and musicians alike. He is always open to feedback and willing to experiment to ensure that the final product exceeds everyone's expectations.
Persistent to make waves in the film scoring industry, he remains committed to his passion for creating timeless music that resonates with audiences around the world. Whether he writes for indie films, short film, experimental projects or a larger-budget features, he will bring the same level of enthusiasm and dedication to every project. With his talent, drive, and unwavering commitment to excellence, there is no doubt that Peloian will continue his drive to leave an indelible mark on the world of cinema.

"Starting from a place of directed theme improvisations, Justin's style has diverged to different paths over the years and now into something new. Transitioning from free jazz, based compositions and improv, into stream of consciences style experimentation solo guitar, and now towards dynamic composition for visual media. This sound combines melody with themes and sonic patterning with symphonic forms and dynamics. Adapting  skills to create coherent yet abstract scene-scapes that also utilize leading rhythms.  Movie and series scene inspired improvisations with composed themes and orchestral direction to match dramatic type Films. Jumping into more digital effect parameters and genre-settings, will still only break the surface of possible directions.  Contact me today to discuss your new original film score!"                - Justin Peloian
